Repair procedures

Removal and Installation

•	Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift. (Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")

1.	Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")

2.	Remove the engine room under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

3.	Drain the coolant. (Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

4.	Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")

5.	Remove the surge tank. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Surge Tank")

6.	Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "Intake Manifold")

7.	Remove the delivery pipe. (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Delivery Pipe")

8.	Remove the water temperature control assembly and water center pipe. (Refer to Cooling System - "Water Temperature Control Assembly")

9.	Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (A).

10.

Remove the oil pressure sensor (A).

Tightening torque :

14.7 - 21.6 N.m (1.5 - 2.2 kgf.m, 10.8 - 15.9 lb.ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	When installing, apply sealant on the thread part.

Seal lock : 3M 2510

Thickness : More than 0.4 mm (0.0157 in.)
