Removal 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable. 2. Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels can face straight ahead.
Description and operation Description The compressor is the power unit of the A/C system. It is located on the side of engine block and driven by a V-belt of the engine. The compressor changes low pressure and low temperature refrigerant gas into high pressure and high temperature refrigerant gas.
Repair procedures Replacement 1. Remove the rear heater & A/C unit. (Refer to Rear Heater - "Rear Heater Unit") 2. Loosen the mounting screws, remove the rear heater & A/C unit cover (A) and evaporator core (B).
